What drew you to the Accounts Payable position?

I was drawn to the Accounts Payable position at AlphaKOR because I enjoy the type of work that comes along with being in the Accounts Payable position. I especially like dealing with new challenges every day.

What does the average day look like for you in your role?

On an average day, I perform various tasks including:

  • Posting supplier invoices.
  • Posting employee expenses.
  • Preparing cheques.
  • Post Office365.

What education is required for your role?

To get into the Accounts Payable role, someone would require knowledge about finance, accounting, and bookkeeping certification.

What is it like working for a managed service provider?

Working for an MSP is a fast-paced environment. This comes along with multiple challenges, which I especially enjoy.

What skillset is critical for your role?

For the Accounts Payable role, having attention to detail and well as the ability to resolve problems is critical.

What key personal qualities are essential for your role?

I think having passion and patience are essential qualities for this role, especially when you are working with suppliers on a daily basis.

What is the most exciting part of your job?

The most exciting part about my job is solving problems!

What is the least exciting part of your job?

The least exciting part of my job is when I am not able to solve a problem.

How do you hope to grow in your field of work?

In my field of work, I would like to grow by taking on more responsibilities.

What have you learned at AlphaKOR that has helped you grow on a personal level?

Working at AlphaKOR for the past ten years has allowed me to be more thorough and detailed in my day-to-day life.

Do you have a favourite motto that inspires you every day?

“A problem is a chance for you to do your best” is a motto that inspires me every day.

What advice would you give someone starting their career?

Accounts Payable is a great job and you need to have great attention to detail and be ready for challenges.
